That’s right.. When you follow an exercise program to lose fat, you need to have a way of eating that enables maximum fat burning to occur.  That way of eating is called a fat burning diet. A fat burning diet enables more rapid fat burning to occur as a result of your exercise.  Without one, fat loss may not occur at all.


Diets Have Helped People To Lose Weight

Dieting has resulted in weight loss for tens of millions of people. The problem is that you may very well think that fat loss is another term for weight loss; it is not. Fat loss will not occur from dieting, unless you also exercise. Weight loss can result from dieting, but not fat loss.

To top it off, unless you stay on that diet for the rest of your life, you will put the weight back on. When you finish dieting, your body will renew its water level to allow it to function properly. Additionally, it is not good for your health to be on a diet, for a long time, that reduces the water level of your body below what it needs in order to function properly.

You may not like the way in which the body operates in connection with fat, but you need know about it.

How You Should Eat To Burn Fat

It is essential that you understand these three things, before I go any further

  • weight loss and fat loss are two different things
  • you can lose weight on a diet, but not fat
  • there is only one way for fat loss to occur and that is by exercising

Therefore if you want to rid your body of unwanted fat, you must embrace and do a fat burning exercise regimen.

Is There An Optimal Fat Burning Exercise Regimen?

There is no such thing as a best exercise routine for fat loss.  But, there is an exercise regimen that would be best for you personally.

There are two broad categories of exercise. They are aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise.

People who walk briskly, jog, ride a bicycle or swim are engaging in aerobic fat burning exercise. An example of anaerobic exercise is strength or resistance training.  There are other examples of anaerobic exercise, but to discuss them in this article would cause me to deviate from the main message of this article.

A good strength training regimen is most effective in achieving fat loss.  However strength training does not appeal to everybody.  You dont have to do strength training to rid your body of the unwanted fat.  You can lose the fat by doing aerobic
exercise that burns fat.

How You Burn Fat During Aerobic Exercise?

When doing fat burning exercise, your body does not immediately begin to burn fat. There are stages it goes through before it uses fat for energy. In the first few minutes of exercise, your body uses carbohydrates for energy and not fat. This lasts for approximately 10 minutes. It is then that your body turns to fat for its source of energy.

You will only burn fat if you exert yourself at the right level for you. For you, the right level is when you exert yourself enough so that your body needs more oxygen.   How can you tell if it is the right level for you?

  1. you are breathing at a faster pace than is usual, but you are not gasping for air
  2. you will feel some sweat at the back of your neck and at the base of your back
  3. If you are unable to hold a conversation while exercising and you are breathless, you are exerting yourself beyond your current level of fitness

If you experience dizziness or lightheadedness, it is not a good sign. It means that you are overexerting yourself and you should stop.

Your body will not begin to burn fat for energy, if you do not exert yourself sufficiently. Carbohydrates will remain the energy source for your body. If this is what happens, you will lose mostly water weight, which leads to a decrease in your metabolism. What you want is the reverse. You will burn more fat with a higher metabolism.

Also please understand that just because you reached the fat burning stage, does not mean you will stay there. You will continue to burn fat if you maintain the pace that is right for your body.

You now have to research the various exercise options available to you. Last, but not least, you have to choose the exercise regimen for you and then do it.

If you you want to achieve fat loss and permanent weight loss, you must also address your diet.

Experts agree that fat burning exercise has a bigger impact on fat loss and weight loss than diet. This is because when you do regular exercise, you increase your metabolism. An increase in your metabolism will result in more fat burning for you thoughout every day. Also, experts will tell you that you are going to have to make changes to your diet, if fat loss is the outcome that you want.

How Can You Tell If You Are Burning Fat, With Your Exercise?
You will burn fat by doing activities that require exertion from you, for a long enough period of time. What you find exerting, another may not find exerting. The right level of exertion for you depends on how fit you are. There are formulas to help you to determine the correct exertion level for you. Some people find these formulas difficult to work with. A simple rule of thumb to guide you on this is the following

  • Are you somewhat out of breath from the activity (not gasping for air)?
  • Can you feel a little sweat on the small of your back and on your neck?

What Are The Different Types Of Fat Burning Exercise?
Fat burning exercise falls into 2 broad categories - aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise. The terms aerobic exercise and cardio vascular exercise are interchangeable. Aerobic exercise needs oxygen for energy, whereas anaerobic doesnt.

When you do aerobic exercise, your body burns fat for the energy it needs. Your body fat is not the energy source that your body uses when doing anaerobic exercise. Your body burns carbohydrates for the energy it needs, during anaerobic exercise.

Aerobic exercise can be enjoyable for you if you like to jog, swim, bike ride or walk rapidly. Weight training or running a 1500 meter race are examples of anaerobic exercise. Football can be aerobic and anaerobic: when you see a kickoff returned for 100 yards it is anaerobic, but a 10-20 yard run or pass play is probably aerobic. You will be running as fast as you can for a certain amount of time. It is anaerobic when you are moving flat out, without pause. It is aerobic, when you are not exerting yourself as much.

If you are looking for fat loss, you will need to do a minimum of 30 minutes of aerobic exercise each day. To burn more fat more quickly, you can do 45 minutes at a time or 30 minutes twice during the day.

If you do strength training, it is anaerobic exercise.  It increases the size of of your muscles, which causes optimum fat loss. Your metabolic rate will increase as you add muscle mass. An increase in your metabolism will result in more fat burning for you thoughout every day. However, during anaerobic exercise fat burning does not occur. Aerobic exercise will cause you to burn fat.

Do You Want To See Less Fat On Your Body When You Look At A Mirror?
You do not have a choice; you will have to exercise to lose fat. The achievement of your fat loss goals and your weight management goals depends on you doing this. You need to adopt a mindset, for the rest of your life, that more physical activity is good for you and less is bad for you.

Refuse to use the elevator or escalator; walk up the stairs instead. Try parking your car further from your destination and give yourself a longer walk to where you are going. You can take your dog for an extra walk each day. Find activities to do, that you havnt been doing, that will get you to be more active physically.

Now you are at the point when you must make your decision on your exercise regimen and make a start on it.

There is a lot to know before deciding upon the best exercise regimen to burn fat for you. Noone can tell you that a particular exercise program is good or bad. However, there is a regimen that would be effective for you and that works best for you.

Making the best decision for you is critical. If you do not get it right, you will not make the progress you want to make and you will become frustrated and upset. It could cause you to give up on losing weight.

Many people know, that to become a fat burning machine and to increase your fat loss you need to add lean muscle mass to your body that will increase your metabolism.  When you live your life in a very healthy way you will enjoy many other benefits.  For this Fat Burning Machine guide we are going to look at how you can use intensity, volume and frequency and progression to lose weight and keep it off forever.

Most people that I see exercising at the fitness studio that are doing weight training or resistance training are using too much of their time with the exercise but not working hard enough.  They will burn very little fat with this low intensity workout.

The key elements to train for lean muscle and strength is the proper application of three vital elements.

The secret I have found is that the proper application of the three vital elements are are required in training for lean muscle and strength and this secret is often overlooked by the people who try it.  These three elements are:

     1.   Intensity

     2.   Volume & Frequency

     3.   Progression

The intensity is how hard it is to perform for you, given your current physical condition.How much weight you use and how often you do the exercise is called volume and frequency. The progression is related to how much the demands increase from workout to workout. You will turn into a fat burning machine with these 3 key elements.  The Fat Burning Machine system will take you from beginning to lose weight to learning how to keep the weight off permanently.

It is essential that you keep the number of your weekly workouts in check and remember not to workout for too long.

Two entirely different forms of exercise are fat burning aerobic and anaerobic exercise. They are really the total opposite.

The definition of Aerobic exercise is high volume and frequency, low to moderate intensity, and not much progression. Anaerobic exercise, or weight training, must be performed at a high intensity, lower volume and lower frequency, and with progression to be as effective as possible. You will not get a significant amount of muscle or strength building beyond a few weeks if you are doing weight training at a low or moderate rate of intensity.

There are a combination of two objectives and that is to use sufficient intensity along with an increase in the number of reps of a weight training exercise or the amount of weight used in each and every workout. These three steps will continue your bodies development into a fat burning machine!

You will want to maximize your workout and minimize the time you spend in the gym when your are creating an effective and efficient exercise routine and remember the other details.  Why?  Because perhaps even more important that the workout itself is the rest period that follows.When you get adequate rest and enough sleep you will become stronger and increase your muscles.

When you strength train in the proper way you are causing small injuries to your muscles. Then you need to allow the body renew itself, and your body will overcompensate and add on the existing amount of muscle mass that you already have. 

 If you workout again before that process is completed, you’ll experience lackluster results, if any, muscle building or fat burning results. You will also be overworking your muscles to the point where they will not respond to your workout.

Be sure that you get the needed rest between your workouts, a minimum of 1 to 3 full days of rest between properly executed resistance workouts is typical.

Many women are saying “But I don’t want to get bigger, I want to lose weight” after they hear that you need to add muscle to your body to be sure that you will become a fat burning machine!” 

But this is such a shame, because it’s very unlikely to happen, and countless women are losing out on these fat burning benefits because of it. 

You see, most men and almost all women simply lack the necessary genetic traits required to produce such muscle gains that would cause them to look bulky or overly developed to most people. These traits include testosterone levels, muscle fiber makeup, muscle belly length, and others.

Those competitive bodybuilders you’ve seen on TV and in the magazines are the genetic cream of the crop for muscle development and they are typically on heavy doses of anabolic steroids, growth hormone, and other bodybuilding drugs. 

 Don’t be fooled by these images, or those that scare you into thinking this way. Did you know that lean muscle takes up less space on your body and is more compact than fat, and because of this you will in actuality be getting smaller.

The main conclusion of the studies was as follows: The subjects living in a city did more walking than the subjects living in the suburbs. The city dwellers in the study tended to walk much more to go to wherever they were going, while people living in the suburbs tended to drive. This accounted for the change of weight.

An expert in the field of Applied Physiology and Nutrition has said that fat burning exercise has a bigger impact on fat loss and permanent weight loss than nutrition. To give you an idea of how diet and exercise each affect weight loss, it has been said that it is 65% - 35% in favor of exercise.

Research shows that to lose weight you should do an exercise progam as well as a diet program. But the consumate human being and the consummate world does not exist.
