The Alkaline Diet Plan Is Designed For You!
What’s the best way to rapidly transform an acidic body into an alkaline body? In the next few paragraphs, I will briefly outline five tips that will help you to effortlessly create an alkaline diet plan.
1. Make a Salad Every Day
Salads are one of the best ways to maximize your consumption of whole produce. But don’t just eat the usual iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. Instead, increase flavor and boost the nutritional benefits by including a number of nutritious ingredients. And don’t omit the dressing–for the greatest health benefits, be sure to include flaxseed oil or olive oil.
2. Hold the Cheese
Some experts on the alkaline diet plan will tell you to avoid the cheese entirely, and I can see their point. In addition to being acidifying, cheese is loaded with calories and saturated fat. Nonetheless, I think it’s okay to add a bit of grated feta, mozzarella, or Parmesan to your salad or vegetable dish.
3. Boost Flavor with Chicken Broth Instead of Chicken
Here’s another suggestion that may disturb those who think of the alkaline diet as a vegan or vegetarian diet. Canned chicken broth can be a way to add flavor to soups and other dishes, without contributing many fat or calories. Although chicken broth is mildly acidifying, is is much less acidifying than whole chicken.
4. Increase Flavor (But Not Calories) by Adding Herbs and Spices
Make food taste great without making it acid-forming or boosting your intake of fat or calories? It seems too good to be true, doesn’t it? But it’s actually as easy as adding spices or herbs to your favorite foods. (Some of my favorites are chili flakes, thyme, and dried onion.)
5. Try a Green Drink
A green drink is a healthy alternative to soft drinks. Unlike these acidifying beverages, green drinks help to build an alkaline body. They’re also loaded with vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. Just mix the green drink powder with water, or blend it with frozen fruit to create a delectable smoothie.
